Title: Leaking grey tank
Post by: Ralph7 on October 13, 2014, 04:41:21 PM
My grey tank has 2 cracks in the bottom, but if I leave the drain valve open no leak, it drains into the black tank( holds 40gallons).
At present in Az. 30 miles east of Q.. Due to ongoing long term treatment , at this time not able to travel yet, possibly next year.
The tank is black plastic, holds appx. 30-35gal.
I can make the situation work as is, am in a park, just need to dump often.
Tank is approx29Wx38Lx8or 9D , drains out the center of the end
. This is in a 77  TMC  MC 8 , hound assembled in NM , by ????allisns??? AN redone by me.
  Thanks in advance!

Can you get to the bottom of it? You could (or have someone) plastic weld it if you knew the type of plastic. I'm guessing ABS?

If your can't get it repaired, Plastic-Mart can custom make identical replacements.  I had them make custom water tanks for my Eagle.  They fit like a glove in an insulated compartment between the two fuel tanks.
