Title: 2000 mci trans shift pad light blinking
Post by: Homegrowndiesel on October 07, 2014, 08:40:02 PM
Just bought another bus. 2000 Mci with 60 series and allison. They drove it to the auction site, Have tracked down the tag axel valves turned off, and the kneel function turned off, alarms are now off but there is no trans operation.(someone who knows how to disable the bus was bidding)but the thans inhibit is still present. The drive or reverse lights flash on the shift pad when pressed. and there is some kind of lockout inhibit going on. Pressed the up and down buttons on the pad to get the codes and it reads , ol 95, and d1 1412. I have found other models where they have disabled the inhibit but none on this model, any one have any insite?

The only time I am inhibited from putting the coach in gear is when my foot is not planted on the brake. The flashing you describe is exactly what happens when I fail to step on the brake when selecting D or R.

Thanks Jon.
Spot on, I had pressed on the brake but Not the 60# required. Drove it home tonight. Runs like a dream. Someone overnight also opened the drain petcock and drained all the coolant out. Was full and fine yesterday, glad to get it out of there. Again, Thank You.
