My 4104 has a Jake brake installed but my buffer switch has seen better days and the wires are no longer connected. I found a wiring diagram that was marked up to show how it was wired but I am still confused about where to connect the wires I only see 2 terminals on my buffer switch and I have 3 wires to connect. My switch has been fractured but seems like it would work unless one of the terminals is missing. I have looked through the Jacobs website and through their troubleshooting guide but nothing shows the physical connections just line drawings.
From what I can tell I have 2 orange wires that go into the head and a blue wire that would provide the 12 volts to actuate the solenoids. I would think that the 2 orange wires would be connected together on one terminal of the buffer switch and the blue wire would go to the other terminal of the switch is this correct?
I also wonder if there is someplace that sells the switch for a reasonable price I see it for $400 but it is really a $40 switch if it was made by someone else? Maybe someone knows of a salvage yard that has older 2 Strokes in it or another good place to find a used one in case my switch is faulty.
Here is the guide that I am referring to and some pictures of my mess.

The buffer switch is just an on-off micro switch, basically. The two jake heads (your orange wires) are wired in parallel to one terminal, and switched power in is wired to the other terminal, just like you thought.

I have a new style buffer new or used or the old micro like you have contact me you don't need a 2 stage Jake on the engine 2 wires will do it
Thanks for the help, I will try to rewire it tonight and see if it works now.
I have a new Jake micro switch if you need it.
You can test the function of the micro switch by itself with an ohmmeter, rev up engine, drop RPM suddenly, see if it completes the circuit for the second or two during the rpm drop. I was troubleshooting jake problems and did that on mine to see if micro switch was good. I ended up replacing it (really cheap or free) because the rubber boot was shot where the governor pokes at it to press the button.
I rewired it yesterday, funny after posting this I found the instruction manual that came with it and it shows very clearly how to wire it and how to adjust it if anyone needs a copy I can scan it for them.
After rewiring I noticed that when the rod pushes out of the governor the switch moves with it since it is so badly cracked. Once I get another switch I will try again thanks for the help.
