Title: Bus air suspension
Post by: Beesme on September 22, 2014, 05:04:41 PM
When I'm driving down the highway, and a big gust of wind catches the coach. The coach will float like left and right as if the air bags are compensating rather quickly. My wife doesn't notice and I don't say anything haha. But wondering is there an issue or is it the norm ? The bus handles great just wondering if there is an adjustment or sensitivity. I ease off throttle and it stops . It also happens on real uneven turns you know like with a high crown and low shoulder. That is what keeps me thinking about the level valves like trying to level to fast. Idk thanx for the answers beforehand! Oh and it only does it a now and then almost like at the beginning of a run! This past wknd I think it happened once!

Yeah. Your air bags don't compensate quickly. They compress the air that's in them, but they can't take on more very quickly because they probably only have a 1/4" line going into them
through a valve that has a built in delay.

So, as already mentioned, check the shocks...

or just enjoy the motion.

I am going under bus and see what's what haha and of course blocked with 6"/6"" blocks. It's funny shocks 5 yrs old not sure brand but they are yellow! But what's funny had rear end replaced last year and that's when motion started.

If you add the rear sway bar from a 4905, it'll make a world of difference. We did the same on our 4104 and what an improvement.
