19
Mostly 19, but running N. & S. on the west coast (I-5) they run 17 but on 99 they use 19 and if I remember right in W. AZ where I-8 & 10 are parallel near CA border I think they use 15. It's been yrs. since I drove a truck coast to coast but I beleive he above information is true to the best abilility of my memory, it's been a long hard time. BK ;D

I did not know so many were used.
I should mention I will be heading East on I-10 from Los Angeles to Tucson AZ, down to El Paso then take the 20 Norh East to Abilene TX.

From the archive of useless information:
When we first started we all used channel 10. Then some folks thought we were too close to emergency channel 9 and started a movement to move us. That started a backlash from some drivers who said we should be allowed to stay. (Anyone remember the bumper stickers "Channel 10 is for Truckermen"?). We on the East Coast finally moved to channel 19 which is the sum of 10 & 9. I still fail to follow that reasoning. A lot of the rest of the country followed except the far west who said channel 19 didn't work for them and they would not "follow" us flatland guys anyway. Hence, the mishmosh of channels out west.
And that's the rest of the story.....
Mostly 19. South of highway 46 in California, 15 is used; when north of 46, 17 is used. Just for going north and south. Up in the Oregon and Washington are along highway 5, sometimes 21. RV'rs like 14. Good Luck, TomC
