There will be an auction of bus parts, shop equipment, Eagle conversion, etc. just north of Charlotte, Michigan on August 23. ps. sorry about your friend Clifford.
Thanks Donald he was a hella guy and he was about the only person around could build the suspension torsilastic on a Eagle from nothing I saw him do it to many times on the 01 tag axle people said could not be done I'll miss him
someone should buy that bus.... wish i was looking, i see a winner there.
i'm going to pm that fellow that was looking....hope he buys the little bird too...
what a set ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
..... wish I would have bought that Eagle bus I saw at Staley's over a dozen years ago, would have been a quarter mil ahead at this point and I still LOVE THEM EAGLES (not to mention the air ride problems, how much time do we spend enjoying the air ride vs. the time we spend using them and the problems maintaining them?)
We should do a thread on "THE BUS I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT" - might be a REAL long thread - go ahead and ruin my day
In that picture it looks like the front end is set awfully high, or he has small tires up there. I think somebody's going to get a great buy on that one.
He always parked it with the jacks down Mark that is why it looks high ,I see the jack down in front of the tire in fact
After talking to Gary this morning, I had to come back and look at the picture again and sure enough he was right, no rivets! That is a clean rig for sure. Gary was also very saddened when I gave him the news of Richard's passing. " He was a very nice and talented fellow, loved to talk buses for hours with those he knew. I am very sad to hear of his passing" Condolences to his family and close friends, I only wish I had the opportunity to meet him :(
You would have loved him Richard was killed in a head on crash Jan 29 of this year, he would have turn 79 this year and was full of energy one of a kind for sure
Yep I see the jacks now, also the no rivots. I see he parks it on carpet like I do also. Nice car for sure.
I think I saw this bus in Brownsville at the rally in 2007. If the same it was a beautiful coach and he was a really nice guy.
It was so unique without any rivets, truly a beauty.
David
He was there David parked on the front row 1st bus to the right as you entered
Don't think it was in January because I talked to him after I got back in Michigan in April.
If that is the bus that was in Brownsville he put a cable system that will lift the bogie. Also all the locks on the bay doors are remote. A lot of work went into that bus.
Wayne
That's it Wayne, last time I spoke with Richard was in Dec of 2013 he wasn't able to come in Jan but said he would see me next year for sure
i hope ( because I'm not bidding.. ;D) that there is a reserve on it...
From he few pictures, it looks like a quality conversion. I already have one bus too many, but I was wondering what people thought it would be worth in today's spectacular market.
the reserve is 2hundred thousand. jim
I doubt that Richard thought about taking a 85,000 offer but he wanted to use it a little while longer I think Pam will take what ever she can get $ 200 grand does sound good ::)

I hope she gets $300K then.... ;D
I have scanned the auction ad from the local paper. If you need it email larrydbaker@aim.com.
This buses high bid today was $55K. It was refused and it was said they would not consider a bid of less than $100K.
If you put that bus on a Monaco lot next to the brand new Prevos and list it for 300k it would sell in under 6 months.
