Hi, you guys will have great fun and you'll be more than welcomed, weather should be very comfortable, a tour of the Dam is very interesting, there is a cute little village just up the hwy called Boulder City, good restaurants and great history, Las Vegas is only 30 miles away, lots of RV places there, and some of that entertainment stuff they do so well, Van should pipe in soon, by the way the facilities are pretty decent, at the Lake Mead RV park, dont forget to stop in at B&B to see Gary, Joe & Van behind the Palms hotel, lvmci...
PS, there are no fees for this Non Rally Gathering, just the RV Parks fees, so bring your smiling faces and your bus down to southern nevada...

Hi Jack the gathering will be at the Lake mead RV Village. 14-16 Nov, you can also dry camp right next door at the Govt campsites. The Village as amenities and the camp sites next door has plenty of trees and now concrete pads for which to park on. I'll be doing a full update this week end so stay tuned ;) :)
The cost for the campground next door is $10 a nite or $5 a nite if you have the Senior Access /Golden Age Pass or whatever it is that they call it. If you stay on the south end of the C Loop you are just a few ft. away from the row where Van will be at.
Hello All. I went to Lakemead.com and Lake Mead RV Village and made reservations at Boulder Beach for Nov. 14, 15 and 16 Thinking that is where you all will be. Did I do good? Wiffy who has not a speck of spontaneity is badgering me as to where we are staying and who we will meet etc. The other choice seems to be Ecco Beach. I could use some specific advice. Thanks Jack
Hi Olrunt, lake mead rv village is the right place, or the dry camping next door, just a short distance away, we have stayed in the middle area spaces 11,12 etc, all good, new pads and power towers, entertainment will be provided by Van and his band of renounds, my wife is making her famous better than olive garden soup, and I here the Nevada DMV will hold a seminar on how to make your life miserable when you have the gaul to try and register your bus as a RV, tom...

Hi All, the Third Annual, that Dam Rally is just two weeks away! The Department of Interior has commissioned a special light show to be projected on the Dam, including the two tshirt logos from the previous Dam Rallys! Pictures of every model of bus conversions made, especially before and after pictures of Vans big red bus, and two video segments of 1940s and 50s Greyhound and Continental Trailways advertisements. The Government has asked me to tell you to not stop in the middle of that Dam Bridge, to take a selfie picture of your bus and the Dam, especially during the fireworks display, celebrating that Dam Rally, it might disturb the rams and ewes, who like to gather on the mountain tops on the Nevada side, to watch the bus conversions go by the Dam.
