Bob,
We're heading to the Badger Steam and Gas show at Baraboo, WI the weekend of 8/16-17. We're bringing the big Rumley from Rollag. Rumley is the featured engine this year. Other guest engines will be in attendance as well. Nice show. Maybe you could talk Andy into bringing the toterhome up for a visit?
Fred
Anyone going to the steam-up here in Oregon this weekend and next?

Exciting week: Andy got to play ,sawmill and tuning a keck 22 hp steam engine. Plus he did spark shows;put saw dust on top of fire -let it smolder-then put power to engine= draft up stack= column about 10inches in diameter at least 30 ft in air of sparks. Last several minutes. Draws a crowd. Just after dark.. looks like a fountain of orange sparks. Fred you mentioned rumley, they think one of the ones at show broke a valve head off=went town to one cyl with no way to get valve lash back=conclusion the spring was being pushed from cyl side by stem only. Sounded like a 10 gauge going off when it miss fired.. Andy pulled it around with his Steam engine to get in started. Another show starting Friday sat &sun. Then will be awhile for fall shows to start. Hi-yo silver.Old bus was there with it's new owners.. Still looking good!! Life is good!! Bob
