I'm gonna need brake shoes for my 1991 Setra 215 soon but can't really find any online stores. I figure usually online stores have better deals than regular stores. Or if someone could please get me the parts numbers ? Thank you in advance.
Buy the pads and install yourself you don't need the whole assembly only the pads most are bolt on OEM
Google Fort Garry Industries. They have stores all over Canada. The one in Calgary has every truck part imaginable on the shelf. They have several locations around Vancouver.

Thank you, will try
Looks like I still need to find out the right part number
When looking for brake parts and pieces use the words COACH brakes, yes that is how they are listed in the book.
Many of the brake parts are the same as truck parts.
Brake blocks are bolted to the shoe with Brass bolts. AND be careful on the install, the blocks go on in a certain direction, also measure the drums, many drums do not wear straight across.
I had my drums turned and bought oversized blocks.
.
Coach brakes are 6x14.5 or 10x14.5. in the book at the heavy duty parts store.
The blocks use brass bolts and the nuts have star type lock washers on them.
You need to grind the drums, and my TMC/MCI has STD size and 1X,2X,and3X over size.
Also be care full blocks go on a certain way.
One name I found Marathon brake systems in Georga, will look for more later. I think mine came from Motor Truck Industries in Pittsburgh Pa.
Thank you for the tips, never done coach breaks, I'm sure its not hard but every little info helps.
Bus brake pads are just a softer compound than trucks the truck pads will stop faster just not as smooth and truck pads will cool faster also different buses use different sizes they are not all the same, call MCI the Setra pads are not that expensive and MCI will probably give free shipping ? are those Knorr/Bremse brakes
No idea what kind just know that they're drum
hello mci parts handles setra. Call and order what you need. If you don't have any parts lists have your bus info. Year, model, serial number available. Coachgard parts are their generic parts and they should have what you need. I am not familiar with seta but older mci coaches use rockwell shoes and abex brake blocks (other generic parts are available).. The newer coaches are different because I see adds for bonded shoes on the mci parts website.
Another source of parts is mohawk industries in illinois. Sometimes cheaper than mci. i bought my brake blocks and cam parts from them.
The older coaches are going by the way so parts are becoming harder to get..
Luke in vineland NJ may also have parts you can find his number on this website by a search
