Title: Another issue found
Post by: Ace on May 28, 2014, 02:16:18 PM
In one of my other post I mentioned that after correcting the running hot issue, the bus felt like it was down on take off power, but once you got it moving it was great! The problem was and is now corrected a broken hose going from the base of the turbo to the turbo boost sensor.
It appears that from removing the sensor bracket which is bolted behind the ECM, and changing the T-stats, the hose broke from old age and being very brittle.
This now has a new braided hose and hopefully the low end power will return!
One things for sure.... It pays to run these beast regularly! Once you get a feel for what it's supposed to be like, you sort of automatically know something's not quite right!(https://busconversionmagazine.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.tapatalk.com%2Fd%2F14%2F05%2F29%2Fu2yhuha9.jpg&hash=73d084b4b6a110f797690f14a6460066bb38b54c)

Maybe-but a bug on an electronic engine usually means being towed somewhere. On a mechanical engine, that usually means limping to the next location. Too many sensors on the electronic engines. Good Luck, TomC

Tom  I might agree but I know on mine and probably others there is an overide switch that allows you to do just that and maybe limp off the road or possibly to the nearest repair center! Very nearest!
