I have a 1992 Beaver Baronet that has the original air bags. I am trying to replace them. When I search the Firestone #'s on the Air Bags I can't match the piston #. I have called Gilig and they will only give me the Gilig part #. I am trying to find the Firestone replacement #. Does anyone know where I can cross reference the two #'s.
The Gilig #'s are 53-15085-028 (original part #) and 82-19869-000 (updated part #) the Firestone # is 1T15S-6 NBD-10421 9848 (these are the #'s on the Original Air Bag.
I tried Google to find a cross reference guide with no luck.
Any information is welcomed. We need to replace before we can get on the road again.
Thanks
Just call Luke at US Coach. He probably has the bags and fittings in stock, and his price is probably better than anyone else. I gave up trying to cross-reference the bags, the same spring is used in a lot of different applications depending on the hardware and fittings. I just bought three rear air springs for my MCI from him last week.

Might want to give goodsons in maiden a call

Thanks for all the help.
I talk with Firestone teck. and found out they don't make the bag any more. Also that Gillig holds the rights for that bag. He told me that if I could find one better get it, because there is no replacement So looks like a call to Gillig parts dept.
Here is a link to a pretty comprehensive Firestone document on their airbags. http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CDAQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.firestoneip.com%2Fsite-resources%2Ffsip%2Fliterature%2Fpdf%2FAirideDG.pdf&ei=kImHU-zrBuWxsATE_IGYBQ&usg=AFQjCNEy4RRBk1yssUaiZeyf10HwqlGhaw&bvm=bv.67720277,d.cWc (http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CDAQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.firestoneip.com%2Fsite-resources%2Ffsip%2Fliterature%2Fpdf%2FAirideDG.pdf&ei=kImHU-zrBuWxsATE_IGYBQ&usg=AFQjCNEy4RRBk1yssUaiZeyf10HwqlGhaw&bvm=bv.67720277,d.cWc)
What you may find is that the bag itself is a stock item but the mounting system or plates are custom to Gillig. You might be able to change just the bag, or you may find that the bag is permanently crimped onto the mounting plates. Thought it might help.
