Another one decided to buy and not build ::)
Did anyone look at the pictures? All the work on the slideouts.. The new generator, TV's, new cabinets.. Sad to see all money and time spent..
That is the second Eagle the owner has tossed in the towel in the last 2 months Connel had a nice Eagle completely rebuilt from the ground up with a 60 series and new B500. He is parting it out as it's not feasible money wise to convert a bus in today's market prices to many Prevost on the market one can turn the key and drive off into the sunset for less money That is not a 45 ft bus and it is 96 inches wide fwice It would make somebody a nice unit but I don't think he is going to let it go for under 25k
Yes, sad when one realizes how the game is played value wise, why I wound up giving away my MC7 and buying a Foretravel with the ISM500, main reason, health does not allow me to play the games I enjoyed with the MCI and the DDC games.
After having this coach 6.5 years, spending lots of money on factory upgrades etc, still not all that bad $$$$ wise. Will never get my money out of it, who cares, it is a fun time and I enjoy it.
Always feel sorry for the ones who think they are investing with a bigger payout in the end. The closest I ever came to that was with an airplane and that was prior to the bus games about 27 years ago.
Enjoy while you can

You look at the dream, you see all the work. Hats off to the guys that have finished there conversions and can drive them!
Thanks for posting -- this is timely and will be very instructive to watch... Sounds like this guy realized that you just have to know when to pull the plug and stop the bleeding.
Cheers, John
The converters say it takes 4000 to 5000 man hrs to convert a bus can you imagine how long it would take 1 man working on a conversion 2 or 3 hrs a day and maybe 8 hrs on the weekend
My 05 took 6 years working nights and weekends. I have 5000 mhr in it. I have 7 years in my 15 and have not started the motor yet . I am not keeping track of the hours I don't want to know. With any kind of luck I should have the shell done by this time next year.

If someone was really wanting to do a conversion this would be a good one to look at. Even at $25K. All the nasty dirty stuff is finished. You can still make the interior the way you want it. Add another $10K to finish is right. Now you have $35K in a really nice bus the way you want it and have two slides to boot. Price a finished 40' conversion with two slides.

Exactly, or so you'd think. I know of a two-slide Prevost in similar condition, for less...

All true, but I was saddened to hear that Muddog Pat was giving up. He went so far and did such a great job on his Prevo. Really admire it a lot. My Eagle took 7 years and the Silverside 3 years. Wayne, no matter how long it takes yours is an absolute work of art, sets the gold standard for bus rebuilding my friend.
Does anyone know what Pat is going to do with his project. I think the last thing that I seen was the tiled shower. To get that project on the road, one would have to get the engine running and the drivetrain sorted.
Thank You Mark, Coming from you that is a compliment. Sorry I will miss your rally I will be in Bend in august I can't find time to make two trips to your part of the country.

No Alaska trip Wayne?
It will take a lot more than 10 grand to finish he has the slide out frames built I don't think he ever bought the slide mechanisms HWH does not part with those easy I see the bidding is over at 10,100
Mark, We are leaving may 15th 2015. I couldn't get all my ducks in a row to pull it off this year. Should have the business sold to the employees by the end of the year and retire shortly after that.
