Title: Good start on CL
Post by: eddiepotts on May 16, 2014, 07:25:03 AM
This would be a great start if anyone is looking for an 84 Prevost. I have not seen it or know anything about it.      http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/4468267640.html (http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/4468267640.html)

Sure seems a little pricey. Maybe it is in perfect condition.

Always suspicious when they say just "detroit diesel", or 8V72 or 8V91...

I hope it's not, but looks just like a Prevost I helped out about 5 yrs ago that was sitting on the side of the road with 2 blown drive tires.
It was a couple from TX that had just partnered up with a lady from Wisconsin and they were running "private group tours" to Tunica.
Told me "these 2 tires here are out 3rd time having a blowout since we left WI."

I told them sounds like you either have some bad tires or somebody has sabotaged you!

But come to find out they'd just "acquired" the coach and drove it out of storage, picked up and headed straight to Tunica and had 15 ppl on board when I found them on I-55 SB in AR.

So still could have been aged out tires or a mad competitor about them doing "private tours" with personal RV plates and no DOT #'s

I don't know, I took their group to Tunica and dropped them off and hooked them up with a tire guy that picked up 6 take offs from my shop and went to them and installed them on the side of the road. So in the end they had used decent take offs on it when they rolled on! (Paid me $400 cash to take the group to Tunica an drop them paid my tire guy $1200{for me plus his travel an labor fees to put them on!)

Never saw or heard of them again!
