Hey folks,
What a trip on the Natchez Trace Parkway from mile 370 at Lawerenceburg, Tn all the way to Natchez, Ms. Enjoyed every minute. Speed limit 50 mph. No commercial traffic. No stop lights or stop signs. Visually quiet and relaxing!
Natchez, Ms to Breau Bridges Louisiana was additional 130 miles for Wayne Schell's bus & bug Rally. Arrived on Tuesday. Out to dinner for our first taste of bug. (crawfish). Not bad. Next night, same thing. Had the deep fried, giant (?) bugs.
What a great group of people. Twelve Eagles, a Prevost and one SOB. Think my numbers are correct. If not, still a wonderful gaggle of bus nuts.
Catered dinner Friday. No bugs. Saturday night, Wayne cooked bugs, lots of bugs. Ate 75 of the critters and was moved up to the red (top) ranking. Wayne is an excellent teacher. Good stuff. Just takes so damn many to make a meal.
All the folks broke and ran for home on Sunday morning. We dittoed our route down. Highly recommend the Natchez Trace.
Just a great rally, Wayne. Thanks for the friendship and hospitality!
P.S. Bus ran perfect. Over 8 mpg. Check that out Eric.

You are Welcome. These rallies are always so much fun and go by so fast. I finally got my fill of crawfish by Saturday night. We peeled the ones that were left and froze them to take home for a meal later on. I am glad I don't live down there as my finger would be yellow all during crawfish season. ( I don't suck the heads I use my finger to get the best part) I think we got a few more people to enjoy crawfish eating. All are home safe except Ben and he is staying a while longer. Thank you everyone for make the rally a success.

I hate that I had to miss this rally.
I bet bugs and spring water would go good together.
I just wonder how Gary got down there without a good GM pulling him.
Hope you kept him out of trouble.
