Does anyone know what the inside dimensions are for the MCI 102el3. I am looking to design the interior for an upcoming bus conversion.
97-1/2 inches the last one I measured a nice bus the E L I love the spiral steps in those
What about length wise from just behind the drivers seat?
Unless you have the actual bus that you can look at and make measurements, us telling you the dimensions is a moot point. Why? Because there are structual walls, cross supports, etc that can be in the way for plumbing and electrical. You can play with floor plans, but in the end, you'll have to make modifications to make that floor plan work on the bus you choose. Good Luck, TomC
Thank you for the responses. I am trying to make a general floorplan for this particular model. Unfortunately I am not ready to purchase a bus yet. Just trying to get ahead of the game.
When you are thinking about floor plans, there are subtle gotchas besides location of structure -- see other thread "Should I be scared..."

Don't let the spiral staircase fool you: The MCI E models do not seem to have the reliability that many of their other models do. Lots of electrical gremlins, as well as major problems with the pivoting tag axle & it's locking mechanism.

After the 1999 models the E was mostly a trouble free bus even the 1998 and 1999 models if the updates were done are not bad it is the best riding bus on the planet for air bag suspension IMO

My design is more reactionary. I have bought a lot of stuff for my bus. (Fridge, AC, Holding tanks, Couch, Windows, ETC...) Now how do I make them work? (especially windows right now). I am working on an extreme budget, so craigslist has been good and bad. Good that I can find deals, 5 rv windows $100, great. Bad because it forces me to do things I may not anticipate like, "Oops the walls have a bend"...Holding tanks were a great deal $25, oops they are flat and fit awkwardly in the storage bay. Couch! Couch is going to be awesome...except that it will barely clear for the pull out function (width of bus is 90" the pull out bed from back of couch to edge of bed is 88")....another oops but I will make it work. You have to be like a magician when you are doing a bus conversion.
My conversion was going to be simple, now it is going to be awesome.
If you could get the CAD designs of the bus then you would be designing!
I will be designing this using autocad. Not an expert at it, but doing pretty good.
I wonder if MCI has the CAD designs and would be willing to give them up (lol). That would be awesome.
