Title: Recommendations for Bendix Tru Flo 750
Post by: Zeroclearance on April 06, 2014, 03:14:48 PM
As a preventative measure 265K I want to either rebuild my compressor or buy a Detroit reman.

The concerns I have are:  I have recently seen two similar Bendix compressors BA-921 on Cats C15 fail shortly after the install.   One was a rod ventilating the housing..   The other was replace after 90 days, it pushed more oil than the original compressor it replaced.

What are you folks' thoughts..

I have had good luck from Brake Service in your neck of the woods I haven't bought one in about 3 years but I never had a failure things maybe different now I don't know

DD just buys from anyone you never know who rebuilt the compressor depends on who was the cheapest that year

good luck

Mine was rebuilt by Bendix.  Not sure if they actually do the work, or farm it out to whoever, but it had a fresh bendix tag on it.

I have a million miles on mine on an N14. Unless it is putting oil in the wet tank I wouldn't worry about it.
