MCI 5C, I opened up the front panels on the outside and pulled out the air motors and a lot of air hose gone. Pulled out the switch valves and a lot more air hose gone. Put in the new ones fit perfect, wire harness just plugs into each motor and the new switches then put in an in line 10 Amp fuse on a 12 volt circuit and hook up the ground to the body or grounding screw, done. I re-used the arms and blades.
No drilling or tapping etc. Everything fit in old holes.

Autex about a year ago 950.00 but well worth it. Some guys I have heard make their own with big truck or flat front buses type motors and then some how use the old brackets. I didn't buy the electric sprayer just use the old ones.

I have a rare bus-AMGeneral transit and ordered electric. Single arm per side, two motor, but electronically controlled so the both sides work together. I ran into a big rain storm last summer in Mammoth and they worked well. Used their arms. The sweep could have been more, but it is enough to get the job done. The only thing I had to do was make an adapter plate to mount them. I just took heavy 12 gauge sheet metal and spot welded two togther. Then just had to wire everything up-which was easy since they have different plugs for right and left side. There is an extra wire for washer also. Good Luck, TomC

Yes but won't you miss the "swish swish clunk swish swish clunk" sound of the air wipers? For that kind of money and if you have the dash torn apart its fairly easy to make new hoses to seal up those leaks. The motors themselves are rebuildable as well if they are leaking if I'm not mistaken. I just like the air operated wipers I think they sound cool.

I never minded the sound of the air wipers. What I did mind is them getting stuck in the middle of the sweep-always seemed to happen when it was raining the worst. The wiper company was in Oregon. Good Luck, TomC

amequipment.com I don't remember the model. They make an engineering drawing for custom applications. If you have a normal GMC, MCI, Prevost, VanHool, etc, they probably make an ready version for you. Good Luck, TomC
