Title: Request from MAK for bus centerfolds
Post by: plyonsMC9 on December 09, 2006, 07:17:51 AM
Hi fellow-bus nuts!

I have  a request from MAK.  They need some busses to be centerfolds.  It's a painless experience!  If  you  have a coach, somewhat completed or completed, let the magazine folk know.   You can reach them at their main office # 714-799-0042.  Since we have the best busses in the land represented on this board, we should share the wealth the the Bus Conversions magazine readers.  They want more busses!   ;D  ;D  ;D  And who can blame them - it's an addiction that can't be satisified.

Best Regards to all - Phil

After I get the bus back from being turbo'ed, I'll get some pictures and text to MAK.  It's at a stage now I can show, and since it 's a transit will be different.  Good Luck, TomC

That's terrific Tom!  Knowing how thorough and knowledgeable you are, this will be highly anticipated by the rest of us busnuts.

Hey folks, let's get some more busses in the ceterfold!   ;D  I've enjoyed hearing about and seeing all the interesting busses here on the BBS, but how about sending more to the magazine.  After all, us magazine subscribers need something to read while I'm at the Dr. office, on the train, or other places where we don't want to break out the laptops!

Thanks all - kind regards, Phil

Yea Phil, I would offer our H3 for an article but heck everyone has already seen all the pictures of everything I have done. Besides i wouldn't know how to write an article about my own stuff either! LOL

Too bad MAK personel couldn't just ask you questions about your work and then they put it all together based on your answers!
Now THAT would be easy!  ::)

I would love to, but I feel Dreamscape is not quite ready. As she is in pieces on the inside.

Maybe after I finish the interior and get the outside painted.

I just think the readers would enjoy it more.

This history I have collected is very interesting and would like to share it someday.

Who wants to look at our lady without makeup. LOL..

Ace, After the Bussin' rally, I would be glad to help you with writing the article. It is not that hard.  For anyone wanting to have your bus featured, read several centerfold articles and you will get some ideas about how to write the article.  Jack

And someday when I finish mine, I thought it might make a good centerfold.  I just wanted to get a little closer to being done.  It needs paint on the outside, and need to finish cabinets, tile the shower and bath floor, do headliner and still lots of electrical and minor cosmetics to do.

Thanks Jack!  I'd love to read about these busses and get to know the owners more as well.

And the word directly from MAK is that the busses don't have to be finished!!! Actually, I'm beginning to think that our bus will never be really finished.  My list of projects is growing - not shrinking.

Best Regards to all - Phil

Just a thought but maybe someone with Journalistic (spelling?) skills and someone with good Photography skills could do a seminar together at Bussin' 2007 and help the folks that attend prepare a centerfold article for MAK. Or maybe MAK could actually send someone to Arcadia to shoot some centerfolds and do their own write-ups from their notes when the got home! (I'd be willing to bet there will be at least a yrs. worth of suitable candidtes present!) ! Just the thoughts of a wandering mind! BK  ;D

If I got all of my pictures and article in to the editor on time, my 72 0/5 Eagle
is supposed to be the January Centerfold.  Now you guys dont laugh at the wording
and such as I am not a Journalist for sure, just hope it turns out ok!

Catskinner,

Looking forward to seeing your coach. I am sure Miss January will be a hit with us Bus Nuts.

I am an EAGLE fanatic! ;D ;D ;D

Hope to do mine someday too.

How far is Pottsboro from Abilene?

Happy Trails,

Paul

My wife made it their last night.

So we're not too far from each other.

How 'bout that I'm gonna be a Texan.
