I have a 1986 t809 van hool bus and the door stopped opening all the way, what can be wrong?
Do you have a manual? I know for MCIs, there is a procedure for adjusting an air operated door that is explained in the manual.

Those are neat little buses isn't that a plug door that open towards the front ?
the door opens to the back and no i don,t have an operates manual
I haven't checked on a 809 but ABC Bus Sales has manuals for Vanhool on line you can download fwiw that door should be the same as a T800 a plug type door all that bus is a short T800
Yes, it's a plug door - here's a nice photo, and it looks like just about the entire door mechanism is exposed, including what I assume is the air cylinder at the bottom. Shouldn't be too difficult to figure out what is restricting the opening

PS - Yes, it's a cute bus. The T809's wheels are noticeably smaller than the wheels on the T800 though, so I'm not sure that it's just a shorter wheelbase version
I understand Mat the guy that owned Safari design his Trek from the 809 VanHool from that photo it sure looks likes he did ::)
