Title: lp $$$
Post by: robertglines1 on February 03, 2014, 07:32:08 AM
Bus guys make sure your LP is full if coming thru Midwest---since they have reason /excuse  what cost under $2----  3 weeks ago for bulk delivery to shop  is now  $7.31  with 200 gal cap.  promise that it will return to normal in 4 or 5 weeks. There is enough supply Matt can make it on what he has till busy season. Chicken houses`here had it bought for $1.13  in 3,000 gallon deliveries.  short story they have shut down -No lp delivery to them=no heat=no chickens--companies not delivering at that price..We are not talking about  mom and pop operations--talking in 10's of millions in production..  over Indiana and Kentucky...  Price gouging   with trickle down---  Increase in house fire because of no lp  9 dead  70 miles from us in one family.  elect space heaters.  Get your lp before you come thru!!    bob

Having been screwed by the unstable LP Gas pricing on the road 20 years ago is why I got rid of the LP FUELED GENSET I had installed on my MC7. Went diesel, it burnt 1/3 the gallons per hour and LP was in the $3.00 gal range on road and campgrounds, diesel was under $1.00.
Most of my customers who bought the LP generators are crying the biggie tears, is easy to use 100 gal a day, wow I say, and always suggest going diesel before they decide which way to go. Some get it and some just do not. Recent sales includes either a base tank or the 275 gal or the 500 gal tank on skids, set beside the genset.

You have to feel for those people but they don't won't propane pipelines in their states and they truck it in from Mount Belvieu Tx

I just checked with my son-in-law they are getting .92 cents a gal at the terminal with 100+ trucks in line to be loaded headed north when leaving Mt Belvieu they had underground storage in the Mid West at one time

There was a major propane pipeline serving the Midwest, but it no longer carries propane and it is being reworked to handle other products.

We have a 250 Gal. tank where we are parked. With the rise in prices the wife said get it filled now so I called our provider to arrange a fill, Even though we still have 30% left. I asked how much the price has gone up and they told me it was @ $4.50 a a gallon. OUCH. We went through 160 gallons in the last 5 weeks. Been real cold here in Denver. BUT WAIT there's more to this story. Since we signed a contract and leased the tank we are locked in @ $2.69 a gallon. HELL YEAH...!
