I think that it is a good deal.  I have a 7kw powertech CD7000 in my toterhome.  It has a 3cyl Kubota diesel about 11hp.  This unit has to 110v circuits but CAN'T be wired for 220v though.  This is a good solid unit but it is not one of the really quiet units often used in RVs.  You will have a little bit of noise.  My generator transfers a lot of vibration into the coach which makes it more noisy.  If I were to take some steps to isolate the vibration it would be better.  I'll bet that the engine alone is worth $2500.

I have an Onan 7000 that I am getting ready to sell and will be posting it over there too. I wish I could post it under the spare tire on this board, but my asking price is over the limit allowed.

If you knew somebody who was selling a Onan 7000, how much would they be asking? Curious minds want to know ;)

If I knew someone that had one, it would be in very good condition, ran well, and appeared to be well maintained.....I would figure it to be around 2K ;)
