Title: OT: My Own Accident
Post by: captain ron on December 08, 2006, 11:49:42 AM
About noon today I was headed to the Post Office to mail Harold Lynch his CD he orderd and A dark green or black Honda (car) was backing up on the roadway and I layed my bike down and slid into him and under his car, got thrown off my bike. without checking to see if I was ok or not he took off >:(. A pickup truck gave chase and called in the plate # but was told to back off as they were reaching speeds of over 90 mph. My bike sustained minimal damage as well as myself. Banged up my shin (which hurts like hell  :'() my elbo and hip. other than that really just shook up. Soon as I reatatch my windshield (got plenty of duck tape ;D) I'll head back out to the Post Office.

Sad to hear of your incident.  :'(

Glad you are still vertical.  ;D

The dumbass in the Honda probably has no insurance or license either. Good luck in finding the sorry scumbag & collecting restitution.

I hope the Honda wasn't stolen  :-\

I was hit by a dummy in a stolen camaro and I had to pay to fix my own truck.  :-[

Ron, sorry to hear about that!Hope the bikes OK! (yer hard headed enough I know you are! LOL! Ok well maybe we are just a little worried about you too! How are you?) Hopefully the plate # was a good one! When I got hit by the car that flipped the wrecker we'd just built from scratch and only had on the road 5 days (with basic liability for financial reasons). The car that hit me was left by whomever bailed and ran on foot, the VIN came back as invalid - not on file (late 90's cadillac w/ GAME OVER across the top of the windsheild) and the tag came back to a Maroon Dodge Minivan with a bad address! They did end up arresting a young lady (in her late 20's after she reported it stolen, but she wasn't driving it! They charged her with filing a false report, failing to register to motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of an accident, but ended up letting her go after she went before the judge and told him she didn't know who took the car ! Hope yers turns out better! BK  ;D
