Title: Any one in the Slidell, Louisiana area, have a place to park

Hey folks i'm in the Slidell, Louisiana area, I was wondering in any one would know if there are a few places to park in the area, trying to conserve fuel, on a fixed income, and had a few breakdowns on the way down here. I have a forty footer mci-9, myself a wheelchair user, i am working on a veterans    project ''O V P'' . Right now i'm parked at a church off Pontchatrain drive, i can probably stay here for at least a week, then have to move on, Thanks guys :)

Doesn't the State of Louisiana let disabled vets in the state parks for free ? if so there is one in Slidell

Im not a veteran, right now working on a project to assist homeless veterans with housing, formally worked as a fund raiser for the Paralyzed Veterans Of America, thanks for the tip, however not much into state parks or campgrounds.
