Hello, Ive been reading this board for awhile now but have never attempted to post anything so here goes. I was wondering if any of you bus nuts remember a 1982 Eagle conversion named EL Windsurf Mobile converted in southern Florida? This bus was owned by a gentleman named Bill ( Bubba to his friends). This bus was in the Bus Conversion Magazine in July of 2002. I purchased this bus from the family after his death. I was wondering if anyone knows any of the background on this bus. Also we are located in central Indiana (Gas City) are there any bus nuts in the area? Thanks, Rosie
Hi Rosie,
Welcome to our "CLUB" of busnuts...
Have you tried to obtain a copy of the issue that the bus was in?
I'm sure it will tell you plenty about the bus, they usually do...
Just click on the banner above to link you to the MAK e-mail and ask them for a back issue.
Good Luck with the bus
Nick Badame-
HI Nick,
Thanks for the email. I have a copy of the magazine, the family gave it to us. That was a great idea though. I'm hoping to find someone that knew of him and the bus as it was being put together. This is a great way to communicate with other bus folks and pick up some really good ideas. I don't get to spend much time on here yet as I still work full time. Retirement is still a few years away. Take care and thanks again. Rosie
Rosie- what is "gas city"? Is that Indianapolis? Truckers know it as "race city", or "brick yard". Just wondering. Good Luck, TomC
Rosie,
We are powerful proud to have you on board. You now own one of the finest buses available. You will definitely enjoy the smooth ride. Feel free to regale us with all your questions. And remember, there are NO dumb questions. But we cannot guarantee that about the answers! ;D ;D ;D

Tom,
Gas City is a small town north east of Indianapolis about 30 miles east of Kokomo on US 35 a little way off of I-69.
There use to be a great little pizza shop there I ate at when picking up a load of washing machine parts.

Hi Rosie,
Welcome to the board, your among a great group of busnuts. We also have an eagle, it's a 1981, we're not too far from you, just across the state line in Illinois. If you have any questions about buses, this is the board to do if on, we try to help everyone. Do you have a picture of your bus that you can post on the board? We'd love to see it.

Hello,
Thanks for the welcome on the post. We are very new to this and will have lots of questions. We love the bus and have lots of things we want to do to her. We both still work full time so that limits our time to work on it yet. We will try to get a picture on here in the near future, that is after we figure out how to do it! Ha! Thanks again for th communication,
Kevin & Becky

Welcome Becky and Kevin,
You will find this board to be the best for getting your questions answered, bar none.
I also own an Eagle, 1968 01. You will love the ride, as I do.
I'll check my back issues and see if I can read up on your coach.
Good Luck on everything.
