We're cooling our heels in Central FL and Jack Frost is trying his darndest to ruin the Shuttle shot for tonight.
We're finally settled into the bus and will make it home until April. It's great to be back on the Board and will try to get into the Chat room as much as I can considering the work Jackie has laid out for me.
Felt that most of you were aboard with me for the trip and the company was great! For those we will see in Arcadia...soon. For you who can't make it...we'll raise a Cronie for you.
NCbob
Bob,
How is Jackie doing? I hope better now...
Hang in there, the warm air will come back soon.....
We have been missing you on the BBS
Nick-
Bob,
You know, its just not the same when I turn that corner in the driveway and your MC-5 is not there.
Glad your all set at your Winter location.
But I sure miss my "Corona" buddy in the afternoon.
We solved alot of the worlds problems during Happy hour. ;D LOL

Hello Bob and Jackie!
Are ya'll living in the bus? Is it cold down there? You got out right on time....about 30* outside and windy as crap!
I just got back from turning on some heat inside the bus so the hot water heater won't freeze.
How's them peepers doing? My vision ended up a little less than 100%, but i got my new specs last Friday and WOW....very nice. I haven't seen this well for 20 years or more. So if you don't end up perfect...they'll still get you fixed up! Now we gotta get a new TV...I can see it!
Hope to see ya'll in Arcadia soon. Looks like a 10 to 12 hour drive from here if nothing gets in the way. Hope traffic isn't too bad middle of the week. I-95 is an asylum when it's busy.
See ya, JR 8)
Good to hear from you bob. You were the topic of the conversation at davids yesterday. Roxane and david were worred about you and jackie.they had heard about jackie trouble but not the outcome. I filled them up on the lastes that i knew.
He is going to go over my bus before i head to arcadia.
Jr if you head to florida on the 26 Wilma and i are going then. We plan on going down 321 and then down 301 then 17 into arcadia. May take several days to get there.

Morning Uncle Ted,
Yep....you follow those roads and it'll take you a couple days. We're leaving AM the 27th and firing off down the interstate. Backroads (NC 200) to I-77 to I-26 to I-95 to I-4. Does that sound right? Be on the big highway until Orlando or thereabouts.
If anything causes problems...may take me more than one day too.
If anyone is aware of major construction projects or some other reason that this is a bad idea ... lay it on me.
I rapidly develop major personality flaws when stuck in backups on interstates.
See ya there I hope! Send the wrecker if you don't see me! ;)
Best, JR
I believe 321 straight to hardyville south carolina will be your best bet. then down 95. Try to go through Jacksonville after 10 oclock at night. camp cracker barrel at palm coast is a good place to stop. get in late then get up early have a good breakfast then go. on down to I4 at daytona. Trip through by disney land is exciting. a lot of fools driving.
I think i will stay on the back roads my self. see you there.
the truck stop at 321 and I26 always has the best diesel prices.

Hey great to hear all is well and you two "kids" are hav'n fun in the sun! BK ;D
Hello NCBob
I'm glad to hear you made it to Fl. ok and that you and Jackie are doing allright. If you were on your
way to Fl. the day before Thanksgiving, on hwy 365 South thru Habersham Co. ,GA. I think I saw you on my way to Gainesville, GA. You were driving an MCI5 and towing a Scion. If that was you have you ever seen more Ga state troopers in one spot in you life?. Made me slow down. It is good to see you back on the board again. Take care.
Glen Rice
Demorest, GA.
Yes Glen, that was me and I was freezing cold...so much so that I didn't have the energy to get too deep into the fuel pedal. It was good though because as you say...the Bears were out in force!
All's well here but having the devil's own time with the wireless network here in the Park. Might be time to think about getting a Hughes dish.....Hmmmm, wonder if Mama will part with the bucks?
Y'all be well.NCbob
JR,
Be careful on I-4 around Orlando, a lot of foreigners without a clue where they are going or how to drive in the US. When we are heading home from the Orlando area, we get off I-4 on US 27, go south to Lake Wales, take SR 60 west to Bartow, and then US 17 south to Arcadia. Just north of Arcadia, you will see a big green sign installed by the State of Florida that says TURNER CENTER. Turn left off US 17 onto Turner Road. HMMM Turner Road- Turner Center? Guess where that road takes you. Lookin' forward to seein' everyone. Jack
Jack aint kiddin about I-4. Every tourist & retired (90) year old in the country is on I-4. They will cut across 4 lanes of trafic to get to the offramp they thought they missed. But spend a day at Disney, Universal Studios, Sea World, etc..........Great restaurants, If you like sea food. Go to Boston Lobster Feast. All the lobster, seafood,etc...you can eat for around $26 before 6pm........lots of fun..................Do I sound like I miss "home" a little...............
Rich
Rich,
You do sound like you miss home....
Did you move the family up there also? you better give a call the next time you visit O.C. N.J.

My first bus ride in 'Rosie' was when I picked it up at Featherlite in Sanford and took it home to Tampa on I4 - At the time I4 was completely tore up for half the ride, had concrete barriers on both sides and NO breakdown lanes - needless to say I learned about my bus real quick
