Title: Need Bendix numbers for dd3 diaphragms
Post by: thomasinnv on December 14, 2013, 05:49:36 PM
I have a 1977 MCI MC8 and I am looking for Bendix part numbers for the following diaphragms for rebuilding my DD3's:
I am looking for the Bendix numbers for the service diaphragm MCI #4C-5-20 and the auxiliary diaphragm MCI #4C-5-21

I'm sure someone on here has the Bendix numbers. Many thanks.

Service diaphragm is 292711
Auxiliary diaphragm is 246675

May not help much as Bendix no longer supports the DD3.

Mohawk sells them in sets.

Any idea what the part number is for the set from Mohawk? Neither the mci numbers or the Bendix numbers bring up any results

GMC ( from my 4905 parts manual) is listed as a kit of both diaphragms #668324. Mohawk bus parts site: supersedes this number by #2023416 then superseded by 2037901. Result says that it is no longer available. I'd give them a call to see what they suggest; they're a family run operation and very helpful.
You have to do the search by starting as KIT, then #668324, then GMC in the three lines. If you start with either superseded part number first, you won't get any results.

John @ Bus Services had the parts and was quite a bit cheaper on the diaphragms than others 785-891-3741 Jefferson had those also a few years ago he may still have the parts a lot of older Eagles still have the DD3 brakes

We just took them down to Napa and they matched them up.  I think they were about $40 each for the service when we bought them.  Took two days to get them. The others they had in stock on the shelf.

I ended up getting them from Luke. I called Mohawk and they are in fact no longer available from them.
