Title: Looking for Jump Seat
Post by: Tikvah on December 10, 2013, 10:07:54 AM
We don't have an actual navigators seat because the wife isn't real comfortable up front, but she would like to sit there occasionally for a few minutes.

We think we're doing a desk up front and I'd like to mount a jump seat on the edge of the floor above the steps.  I can't seem to find anything.  Ideas?

Maybe you could do something with a fold down seat like they have in minivans, etc.  With the back up, it would serve as a co pilot seat. With the back folded down, it could be a platform for your desk.

Clifford -

After seeing the pics, that's very inventive.

Any idea where one could obtain one of those?  Be hard to sneak it past TSA. . .

RJ, any of the aircraft dismantelers should have them, ie. Tucson, Victorville, Mojave, Marana, etc.  You can also find stuff like that on ebay once in a while.

Scott is that in your bus?

Looks cool but I'm curious where the seat belt anchors.
If it is anchored on the slide that would be like an ejection seat in a crash.

Okay, somewhere along the line we lost this thread :)

I sure wish one of these would fall out of the sky today.  I want to build my desk and don't know the space I need for the two seats that have been offered (regardless of seat belts).

Feel free to resume your seatbelt discussion now....

No Dave, that's too basic

Earlier in this thread, Boomer posted a pic, that's what I want, but he can't get to it for a few months.  I'm ready to build and don't have the seat to know where to put some strength.  Uncle Ned offered me one, but I don't know what it looks like because he can't post pics.  So, I don't know if I want it or not.  I can't find them on eBay....so?

I'm a bit lost
