Title: BCM magazine/Mac who started the Magazine's bus
Post by: harleyman_1000 on November 29, 2013, 11:06:48 AM
As some of you know, I now own a extended GM4104 with a 6v92 and a T-DRIVE, and auto tranny. Mac the man that started this magazine use to own my bus and had it built. I was just informed that my bus was the centerfold in a past magazine. I am trying to get a copy of this magazine, but do not know the month or even the year. If anyone has information, please contact me. Or if you have a copy of this issue please let me know if your interested in selling it.

I don't have my collection to look at but doing a search on the Article Index ( http://www.busconversions.com/BackIssues/ (http://www.busconversions.com/BackIssues/) ), I see a few candidate issues to start the process of pinning it down.

January 2006 -  The centerfold feature was a 1958 GM  4104.  The byline was Dennis Donahue, who I believe was the Editor at the time.  So this is a strong possibility that it is the one you are looking for.

June 2002 - "A Little Interior Goes a Long Way (Custom Converting a 1958 GM PD 4104)" by Terry L. Chellis

December 1994 -  "Here's Pokey (A Great 4104)" by Bud Paul

May 1994 - "Shaking and Baking in my 4104" by George Clark

There are other 4104 articles listed, but they are either identified as other year models or not likely the centerfold story.
