There was a post on yahoo GMC Busnuts a while ago as a tribute to Bob Rowsell, who has terminal brain cancer and has closed his business in San Diego. A very nice tribute if you care to check it out.
Very sad to hear that. Bob fixed an air leak for us with no appointment and we were very far from home. When we showed up there was no sign of a shop until you drove out back. We had a wonderful lunch at a greasy-spoon café down the street and he recommended a great RV spot in San Diego for us. Charged us $50 and we got a tour of his classic Flexible. One of the good guys.
BTW there is no link to the tribute.
Hi, so sorry to hear about this, nice man. Link does not work, couldn't find the tribute, lvmci...
Another post came through today saying it was a mistake and Bob hired some guys to keep the shop open. But he is gravely ill.
Bob Rowsell has passed away. RIP
Sadness. They have a great shop out there. Last year I had the privilege of being able to see the shop and some of the projects they were working on. Here are some pictures to share the beauty of the work Bob has collected and done -
