Hello all,
Im new to the forum, I have been working on a 77 Newell I bought last fall, so far I have repowered it from a 555 cummins smoker to a 6cta8.3 cummins with a 3000 series allison world trans, (electronic) I have redone most of the interior, and redone the basement and plumbing. Next I want to do a suspension upgrade as I have all the parts from the donor bus with s-cam brakes etc. have em, why not use em. also I plan on changing the windows, and some more interior work, the wiring was kind of a mess also, for the most part its all working well now.
This looks like a great place to be for information and just general bs-ing about buses and related topics, I look forward to posting here and finding others here on the endless mission to get our coaches to where we would like them to be ;D
Welcome to the board of knowledge, there are many folks here very experienced on the mechanics of these bus beast's, it's a great way to have your questions answered.
Welcome,
Good Luck in your reconversion.
Welcome! Good to see another Albertan. I looked up Sexsmith, you are so far up North, you must do your cross border shopping in Alaska, LOL.
JC
Lol, how are you JC, I have yet to cross over to Alaska but its on the list!! Invermere is about 9 1/2 hrs, were you able to avoid the floods this year?
I see you have an HT740, have a buddy with an 87 with an 8v92 HT740, he has an issue with it flaring from 1st to 2nd gear, allison still cant figure this one out, they had the valve body out a few times and looking at it again as we speak any issues with yours?
No floods in Invermere, thankfully.
My HT740 has been trouble free, thankfully too.
Look me up next time you come South: cell: 250-342-five three zero three.
JC
Flaring from 1st to 2nd sounds like internal problem in clutch pack.
Welcome to the board. Sounds like you really got into it.
Welcome Rellick!
We are looking forward to your posts. If you get a chance, post a pick of your Newell.
Thanks
Nick-
Aw come-on JC..
Don't try to scare our good friends to the south.
To us Canuckians,,he is just around the corner..
A bit north of Grand Prarrie.,About 8-9 hours north of Blackie.
Even in the same Province.
He is closer to you ,than he is to Alaska.
If he came to Dawson Cr. in B.C., he would still be 2000 miles to
Alaska.
Some of our neighbours just don't realize how far we have to travel to share a coffee.
But we do say "if your in the area, drop on in."
Regards, Bob
Rellick,
Welcome to the board, Newells are nice.
And if your in my area, Wine Country-southern Okanogan,
Please do drop in.
I have been known to share many types of "cool ones" and also tea and coffee.
Regards
Bob
Likewise to all, if your in the area! I tried to post some pics last night, but was having internet issues due to a storm, just on the road for the day, ill try later..
Rellick -
Welcome to the board. Lots of fun stuff here. We are all nuts but these guys are the salt of the earth :)

Welcome Rellick from your neighbour to the east :)
Hello Paso, your in my home town!! Toontown! I move west from there in 06.
Hi Rellick,
Welcome aboard!
This is a an interesting hobby we all have and this forum is a great place to learn and share.
Lots of good information on the board help page on posting photo's, probably will need to resize.
Looking forward to your posts,
Cliff
Glad to see you got rid of that British made triple nickel. You should have many years of service from the new engine and transmission. Any Newell is a good motorhome. Welcome! Good Luck, TomC
I have tried to post pics here but it doesnt let me, I havent had this problem before, even tried the image converter, maybe its because my computer is almost as old as my bus!!lol ???
