I waited all day to see if anyone would comment on the importance of today's date, two things happened, I retired 12 years ago in remembrance of that day of the most horrific tragedy in modern american history "9-11", Here is my thoughts of today>
Here we are again on this awful September 11,
I know of 3000 souls looking down on us, all from Heaven.
Not much is said these days about that day any more,
I've been chastised in the past; I was told I became a total bore.
Well today I don't care what anyone again has to say,
The tragedy of that day in my mind seems to always play.
Terrorism in our country I hope to never see again,
All politicians would quit freaking lying and start using their brain.
To all those precious souls in heaven, that I have not yet met,
I promise on this day in particular, Most of us will never forget.
May all your souls rest in peace.
Gary
That episode and day was in my thoughts all day, I remembered where I was, what I did, what I thought, who I was with, some of whom are no longer with us. I didn't feel the need to post about it, but it was foremost and clear in my thoughts.

Ditto That! Jack
Same here... And they will never be forgotten. :'(
Very well done Gary, thank you for your service to our country as well.
I'm reading "Report from Ground Zero" by Dennis Smith. I think it should be required reading for all American citizens. Just perusing the list of casualties who were in the fire service and police department is heartbreaking. We all need to be vigilant.
