Fellows,
Does anyone know of a good shop/mechanic in the Spokane/Post Falls area. Looking for someone that can troubleshoot and resolve an overcharging problem on a MCI 9.
Also looking for a service and fuel filter change and a good source for tires.
I would appreciate help in locating a good shop.
Thanks,
Doug
Doug, while troubleshooting your symptom, remember that a voltage regulator has to be connected to a positive wire and a negative, so a loss of ground can cause overcharging. This is often overlooked.
Be sure to measure the voltage input to the regulator. If it is high and still charging, that should be a defective regulator. If it is low, you have a circuit failure.
Good luck.

I would be interested too since I am just South of Spokane.
The only local shop I have had contact with was:
Alpha Omega Diesel & Bus Repair
6624 N Freya St Spokane, WA 99217
(509) 468-8068
I have not had them do any work but they loaned me some brake parts to get me rolling until I could replace them from Luke. Very nice people. They maintain their own charter fleet and some of it has some age. Don't know if they are 2 cycle savvy. The person I dealt with did not have much gray hair. :)
I have been meaning to stop by Spokane Transit to see if their is some gray hair there or someone they recommend.
Good luck.
Don
Silver Eagle Charters in Spokane. They have or had a good shop and knew old buses. They may not be around anymore though.
Northwestern Stage Lines if they are still around about 5 miles from Spokane
