Hi all I am looking for a translator module cr-2740 or like to install a ht 755 cr to a 6v92ta ddec 2 any ideas thanks dave
Find a place that is parting Orion transit buses they will have the module under the dash on the drivers side just make sure it has a Allison not the ZF,Voith, or Renk transmissions also check with Prevost parts they sell those at what price I have no idea
No luck so far . Is there anything else that would work and still have my cruise control to work ? thanks dave
Give Kim or Bobby @ Global a call Mon 1-888-395-1392 they may have a used one
thanks again ! I will call on Monday dave

Don
Don I sent you a message to your email thanks dave
Did you try Sam Caylor?
The hunt for parts is still on . Now it looks like I need the atec box for the transmission ( 754 1st gear start ) It looks like all the electronic parts have bean removed ?
Don any luck with the tcm ? thanks dave
I am going to PM a friends number in Albuquerque that has the parts you need he may sell or he may not he I don't know he bought the transmission from a fire truck for a spare with all the electronics
Thanks again Cliff dave
I may have what ya need on an '88 Setra 8V92 TA DDEC II/754 we have for parts. (we have 2 of them but one still runs and drives so not fond of parting it out)
I haven't been to where it's stored in a while but best I remember all that was still intact!
;D BK ;D
B K if you could take a look and let me know that would be great thanks dave
Hope BK does have parts but a 754 is a hydraulic shift not a electronic transmission but if the coach has a touch pad shifter you are in luck Dave, still waiting on the guy in Albuquerque to call me

Clifford I'm not positive on the transmission #.
I'm just going by what Setra had told us some time ago what it should have had via vintage and vin.
It does have a touch pad shifter.
Maybe "the Don" will be able to stop in soon and assist me in what trans it really is and help me get the parts Dave needs off it. (remember I'm not much of a transmission guy!)
;D BK ;D
Has the Don finished with school yet BK I tried to call him but he was in a class, the 754 and the 755 are the same except for the valve body one is electronic control shift the other hydraulic control shift
I don't know if he's finished or not. I just know that he's planning to be here sometime in September as he has some business calls to make in our area then.
Thanks for the knowledge about the difference of the 754 - 755.
As far as I know all of ours are electric.
;D BK ;D
Dave, I am back in the shop. I did not find any 754's with electronic controls so I went into the parts book over at a friends house and couldn't find any electronic controlled 754's in it either, Give a call to Dartco and see what they say about the TCM you are looking for. Sorry
Don
Never thought it would be this hard to upgrade my transmission . The s/n for the 754 is 2510090034 and it is out of a 1993 bus as I was told !
thanks dave
Dave, that serial number is for a HT754CR that is not a electronic transmission according to Allison so I don't what you are looking for the 2 items you are searching for are not need for that transmission behind a 6v92 DDEC use the modulator off the 740 you have now and any other parts needed and go
good luck
