Has anybody been able to retrofit an auto/truck electric wipers to an MCI-8 nus?
Flat noses school buses are the best donor for electric wipers on a bus the 24v is hard to find on a school bus it's a easy swap using the wipers off a school bus
I did the change on my 8 using the parts from a Ward bus but all flat nose are about the same it cost me 35 bucks including the stainless steel arms
voltage doesnt matter to me...i can convert 24 to 12. any particular year model for a donar? specific model?
Get them off a Bluebird, if possible: 80's to 90's
I got mine out of a truck
Took me a little bit of work to get them to work the way I wanted but they are set up and running just fine now.
I can get you more details if you want.
I used the original wiper arms and modified the parts off the air motors to attach to the electric motor.

Thanks to Clifford and Melbo, I was looking at the commercially available conversions for our MC7 to the tune of $850......I like your solutions much better!

sure, send me any info/pics.
We are on the road (touring US 54) so I will get you some info this evening when we are parked.

The motor and interior parts came from a Kenworth T2000. I took the air motors off and used the interior parts to connect to. I drilled holes to connect the linkage from the motor to the wiper parts. I had to work by trial and error to get the wiper arms to operate smoothly and like I wanted. I have a lot of room under my dash because I don't have any of the cooler or heater left there.
