Title: Warehouse in Los Angeles.
Post by: TomC on July 02, 2013, 09:03:48 PM
With my truck conversion being 13'6" tall, and the fact that California overall height is 14'0", I'm looking for a 50ft x 30ft warehouse without an office, but basic electricity with a 14ft x 12ft wide roll up door. 12ft tall doors are plentiful, but a 14ft tall door just doesn't seem to exist. Anyone have a line on a warehouse available in L.A. area? Good Luck, TomC

Tom, is the coast too far away for you? You would think if you got near the boatyards you'd find some bays with tall doors. I live in a coastal area here in Alaska and all our boatyards rent shop space with extra tall doors.
Just a thought

If memory serves, there was a light industrial park off District Blvd just South of the heavy rail train tracks in Bakersfield that had very very tall doors with spaces to let.  But....if you are that other Tom and do not live in BAKO, then it is not going to do you any good.  HB of CJ (old coot)

Any storage unit places nearby? Not the small places, i am talking places that store rvs,,boats, or whatever, indoors. We have one in Yuma where i store a car, truck, and a bunch of other stuff. 45x14 with doors tall enough for a bus or rv.

My first year of converting, winter was quickly approaching and I needed a place.  My neighbor, Henry the pilot suggested the small airport down the street. I rented a hanger for cheap, BIG door, but impossible to heat ;D Maybe not so easy today with Home land security and all ???

Maybe try Magellan Storage  -  they have locations in Torrance, Commerce and LA (two).   I couldn't find if those four locations offer covered RV storage (the Costa Mesa Magellan does), or what sizes their doors are, but it may be worth a call.
