Thanks, guys. You are asking pointed questions with no personal agenda. And the answers (or lack thereof) are very telling.
I have followed your posts from day one. Thought you were both crazy. Who would go bus shopping on Amtrak? With no knowledge of the subject. Your ability to distill complex problems to solvable size is amazing. Keep on asking (and posting).
I would like to second that Jim.
I have had the pleasure of visiting with Chris and Cherie on several occasions. They are wonderful people, enjoying life and enjoying the dream that many bus nuts share and many more long for - full timing in their bus, traveling nomads without a strict timeline or destination. In the course of their travels they have had many interesting experiences and a few hardships. As is their way, they have shared the experiences and the lessons learned with anyone who is interested.
Thank you Chris and Cherie, a.k.a Technomadia !
C & C were our muse to getting into the bus culture. We had not even remotely considered a bus, until we got to know them, and meet zephyr.
We had already planned to rv, but having seen their bus, and their approach to and appreciation for bus life, it's pretty infectious and I for one am glad I'm hooked :)
I also thank them for being so willing to share the experience, good and bad, and how to cope with the latter and appreciate the former. 8)
Aww... thank you guys *blush*
Like Mike, I got to meet and know Cherie and Chris at the Last BCM in TN.
When you get old like me, you tend to classify things when maybe you shouldn't. My thoughts are that the majority of the membership here is in the 60+ age range (some of us are in the 70+ range :o).
Then there is what I classify as the new generation. I put Cherie and Chris in that category. Some of the new generation are really welcome additions to our group. The best of that "group" tend to look at our hobby with new thought processes. I think that is great.
They often share the "technology" they are working on. They are not afraid to ask good questions and sort through the variation of information they are given.
C&C are among the very best of that group, in my opinion. To top it off, they are great folks. I am glad that they found us and we found them!!!

Technomads rock.
We greatly appreciate all the time and effort they pour into this community. It s been a great source of encouragement for us and their website has been a great resource.
I loved their post on deciding how to fix their engine problem. http://www.technomadia.com/2013/06/to-repair-replace-rebuild-or-repower-our-8v71/ (http://www.technomadia.com/2013/06/to-repair-replace-rebuild-or-repower-our-8v71/) An amazing amount of time and energy went into that post and it demonstrates how to be patient, look at all your options, be methodical, resourceful and to budget.
We had the opportunity to spend time with them in Arcadia and they are truly a fun and amazing couple who love life.
