Good morning all: I asked for and received advice on how to enhance the performance of my 79 6V92. Clifford et al, was helpful, but I do not have enough knowledge to put in play what was suggested i.e. I presently have a Garrett TV8102 with a/r ratio of 1.23, what Clifford suggests and what I will do is to change to a Garrett TV7512, but my issue is I think Clifford wants a a/r ratio of 1.95. Is their another way of describing that ratio, i.e. a number for the intake and exhaust i.e..76 and .95 or ? Where is the a/r ratio noted on the turbo? I can find lots of TV7512s, just not the 1.95 ration - at least I think that is my problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently replaced the turbo on my 6V92 with a TV7512 with an A/R of 1.23 . Also 9G90 injectors set at 1.46". That gives me 350 HP and 1050 lb/ft (on paper at least). Great improvement! I pass all the transport trucks up the hills, except the empty ones. Really flattens the little hills on the hwy.

The A/R is stamped inside the hot housing the turbo needs to be removed to see the numbers what injectors do have ? we are sorta of limited here on what we can do with your green engine and get good service from it I wouldn't take to 350 hp
Clifford in a previous post you recommended 9g85 injectors, which is what I will use.
That will work where do want your torque range, low end, mid range ,or top end tell us and we will adjust the hot housing for your needs
You have a by pass blower ?
good luck
