Title: NJT replacement of Hub odometer?
Post by: ArtGill on June 10, 2013, 04:02:15 PM
Does anyone know if NJT has a practice of replacing or turning back to "0" the Hub odometer when the engine is rebuilt?

I have an ex NJT Model 20 Eagle with 380.000. on the broken speedometer, 180,000 on the Hub.  Is there a chance they rebuilt the engine at 200,000 miles?

Thanks,  Art

I have a chart for the color codes used for the NJT Eagles engines tells what month and year if they were rebuilt and they did install new hub meters with a rebuild or exchange engine

Wow.  Thanks for the info. My hub shows 12,000 not 120,000 as I read it earlier.  So, mileage wise I have an almost new engine?  The engine is painted silver.  I purchased this Eagle  around 2000.
