Title: no gen lite flickering

hi fellow bussers
well have been enjoying the new power steering what a treat to drive now, yesterday was going home and the no gen lite starting flashing then go off ? any ideas

That's pretty much normal when the batteries are fully charged and you have no load on them.  Turn on some lights and it will go out.

If you have the big 50DN alternator, as stated before it will cause the alternator light to flash when the batteries are up to charge. I run down the road with my lights on because of this. Good Luck, TomC

Another related question. Why would the light come on when I turn on the bus heat? And go off when I turn of the bus heat. ?

If the alternator light is coming on when the heat light should be coming on it's likely a miswire or a bad ground.
