Title: FLAT TOWING PONTIAC G6
Post by: george_barb on June 03, 2013, 05:06:57 AM
We are thinking of buying a 2007 Pontiac G6, 3.5 V6 and the transmission is marked, Drive, 3 and low.  Is that considered a 4 speed?  Does anyone know if this vehicle can be flat towed behind a motorhome?  Do any of you tow one of these vehicles?

Appreciate any comments.

Hi George,

From what I have read the G6 came with both 4 spd and 6 spd autos. Here is towing info from FMCA...

                                       restrictions   weight     WB
G6* ● ● Front-wheel drive None            3,838     189.0

*The G6 equipped with a 3.9-liter V-6 and an automatic transmission cannot be towed four wheels down.

Hi Matt,
FMCA doesn't say anything about towing any VW 4 wheels down....
Best to check owners manual for that one
