Title: Checking fluid in VS2-8
Post by: Sipapu on March 29, 2013, 05:19:35 PM
What is the proper way to check this fluid.  It has Rotella in it - is that a good choice?  I run Rotella 40 wt in the motor.

Thanks

I have the same tranny, researched before i changed the fluid most of the info i found say's to use delco ATF not motor oil and thats what it had in it when i drained it/ Mine has two skinner valves mounted on the top end of tranny, not sure what they do yet have only driven her once just wondering how many yours has and if you know their purpose?

The skinner valves control the shifter (probably an air unit).>>>Dan   And it should have ATF in it, but 10 weight oil will work well also
