Title: 6-71 injectors stuck
Post by: JohnVickrey on March 17, 2013, 05:52:20 PM
Trying to start my other bus and 3 of the injectors are stuck.  Got any idea how to unstick them.  I just need to move it around in the yard.

The plunger is stuck in the down position and the fuel rod won't move.

Pump gas through the injector at the inlet over the rack don't try and free up the rack first pry the plunger up a little and hit with a rubber hammer that will free the plunger and rack all in one shot

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow.  Let you know how it turns out.

Pulled the injectors out and soaked them in PBlaster.  Pryed the plunger up and worked the plunger a few times and all was good.  Biggest problem then was a return line plugged up by a mud dauber.
