I recently became the proud owner of a 1972 Eagle 05 with a bad clutch. It has a 8V71 Detroit with a 4 speed spicer Transmission. I am not going to be able to start on this project til I get home next month and am trying to gather some information. Does any know the specs on the clutch for this model? Is there a particular brad that is best? Any tips or info would be appreciated.
I don't know the brand of clutch, but if you call Luke at US Coach in New Jersey (don't have his number handy) he can probably supply all the parts. He supplied what I needed to rebuild the clutch for my MCI.

The Eagle will have several different clutches best to remove it and any truck or friction supply house will have one, most over the years have been changed from the pull type to a push mushroom type a lot cheaper than the original pull type fwiw a 1000+ bucks vs 500 bucks
I was afraid there would be different clutches! I guess its best to take it apart and evaluate the damage before jumping to conclusions. Thanks for the advise.
Good time to change to an Allison HT740 automatic. No comparison with performance, but will use more fuel. Good Luck, TomC
