Title: LOOKING FOR INJECTOR FUEL RATE INFO
Post by: Boomer on November 29, 2012, 08:12:04 PM
Can anybody tell me what the rated fuel rate is for a DDEC 5234915 EUI ?  Injector is commonly used on 6V92's and others.  Thanks

A quick search turned up this 22 year old document (http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/onroad/cert/mdehdehdv/1990/detroitdiesel_hhdd_a2900007_12d0-9d0_6d0-0d6.pdf)

Fuel rates are listed on pages 3 & 4.

That is a emission injector Boomer it should have letters in front of the numbers like HJ or R some are not much good except in the CA cam engines depending on the lettering  the last 4 numbers are the tip size

Me I would trade up to a 4965 + or change the tips something you could work with

Around 300 hp is tops for the 4915 and slow leaving the gate but I'll look it up for today when I have a little time
