I noticed this past weekend that instead of a nice "crisp" pop once pressure was reached,I get a "slower" bleed off sound.
I crawled under bus and noticed the valve is kind of grimy, can I just take it apart and clean it or ??
Pressures looked the same as normal on the gage,it just sounds "sick"
If your talking about an "air dryer", they need service on a regular basis and it takes a rebuild "kit".>>>Dan
Drop the bottom out and take the purge valve apart and clean it. Replace the dessicant cartridge NAPA 68.00 and it has a new check valve in it so don't order an extra one.

Thank you
Did it make its sound/duration change during hot, dry weather, or has it started doing it now that things are very cold and wet? Yep...moisture. My old Crown had an separate air dryer cartridge filture thing that was supposed to changed out. HB of CJ (old coot)
