Heather and I saw this sitting on the side of the road and were intrigued. Talked to the guy on the phone for a while about it. Nice coach, he doesn't use it anymore and thinks he can sell it for $13k. Not sure he will get that, but he apparently used it to cart his grand kids and family down to florida for vacation once a year. Wouldn't that require a cdl passenger endorsement? Not a single seat is removed. No interior mods at all. Anyway, I never see eagles just sitting around, so here's some pics.

Now that is interesting as all get out. Especially for me owning an old bird like that, takes me back a ways. Thanks for posting all of this, brings a total new meaning to "Eagle Sighting."
BCO
How many of these still seated and in original condition are still out there?

That is a model 10 from Ft Worth shouldn't have much rust it has a 8v71 it be around a 81 model with a 5 speed,
I have 72 model 05 all original AC and all I left the seats in Idaho to keep the heat from destroying the foam there is a market maybe 10,000 if he finds the right person
I learned to steer clear of em rust buckets, you gotta be a high speed welder to keep up with those Eagles. Why I went with the MCI7.
FWIW
Dave
I have a 72 model seated Eagle that has never been touched by a welder if you can find rust I'll give you the bus lol the MCI 5,6,7 and 8 will rust with best lol
Uh oh! Here we go again ;D ;D
HOLY MOTHER OF GAWD ... EAGLES RUST?
Where in the cat hair is the memo on that ... I missed that completely.
BCO
That's not rust, its bird poop!...
Clifford can you contact me someway, I have a buddy that may be interested in your '05. FYI I asked the same ? on the Eagle board but you must not have seen it..... or you don't like me anymore.
" it's bird poop"
My Bird hasn't pooped since it left S.Illinois, now it's more of a dry Fart ??? ;D
I'll give you a call Boomer I am just waiting on the guy to call me back where the seats are stored and he fishing the lucky dog lol
Cliff, I wrote down all the specs on the eagle after I called the guy. How did you know so much about it? Btw, very little rust on that coach. I spent some time poking around it.

Looks like the western Eagles do not have much of a rust / bird poop issue, howsomever, the eagles in my area are certified rust buckets, all the local weld shops laugh when you mention them as they sure had a history during the Trailways Days. One just sitting at a shop rusted and the rear sat on the ground, as good as the skin is, it was not enough to keep it together.
While the MCI is not rust proof, mine must of had a pampered life away from all the mositure and salt as it was nearly rust clear. I'd rather be lucky than good ya know.
We all love our toys dont we ;D
Dave
A little rust never hurt nobody....... if you can slow it down a bit.
All good Eagle owners keep at least 3 or 4 sticks ( 20 ft lengths ) of 1 1/2 inch square tubing in their shop. Me I just bought stock in Dillion steel supply !!!
::) My repower enables me to get at everything from the bogies back, walk straight through !!
ED
Rust anyone??? I call it character! ::) ;D

Scott we don't call Clifford "YODA" for nothing ya know!
Clifford knows ALL buses but when it comes to EAGLE Wikipedia calls and asks him for info!
There are very few things you will find that Clifford doesn't know something about, but when it comes to EAGLES there is NOTHING he doesn't know !
Besides the name and # on the back told Clifford who it use to belong to and since that's his old stomping grounds it's probably someone he knows personally! :)
;D BK ;D
