If any one is interested in bussin to Tall Pines Harbor Campground in Saxis, Va. On the weekend of November 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2012.
They are open but no planned activities. They have a boat launch and a dock to tie up to.
If you call to make a reservation tell them you are a Delaware busnut and receive a 10% discount. :o

Of coarse the campground is open to anyone, so invite whoever you like.

Tall Pines is a neat place . Always something going on, wish we could make it I think we are closest to tall pines 22.5 miles ! :)

Hi Ed,

Wish we knew earlier, we just came back from Castaways Resort "OCMD" last weekend.

My son has a karting race this weekend and it's a north east regional so, we can't miss it..

Nick if this storm comes ashore as they think it might Saxis might just be a memory , the road floods so bad now with just a hard rain. they are a hardy bunch that call saxis home. good luck as you will get the same effect that we will here in berlin!!

O well, if anybody was planning on attending forget about it.
The campground was devastated by hurricane Sandy and will not be open the remainder of the year.
They are praying they can reopen for next year.

Sorry to heart that Ed. We couldn't attend this year but you were in our thoughts when we were visiting OldManSax a few weeks ago. Would be nice to see everyone again. Maybe Bruce can have another gathering at his place next year. Hope all is well with you and Nick.

I could swear that everybody has my military "guard weekend" schedule---All the rallys are on "drill" weekends.

I am sad that this one didn't happen, but morbidly joyous that I didn't miss one so close!

If Pa. is a consideration down the road, The Grange Fairground in Centre Hall, Pa. could be a great location. Penn Coachmen (FMCA) and Centre Campers have held their Memorial Day weekend there for several years.
