Title: purge valve stays open what can i do

bus will not shut off has no pressure all the air is coming out the dryer

Well, for starters, you can shut it off manually, by moving the shutdown lever on top of your engine by hand, being careful to avoid the fan belt.

Second, you either have a governor problem, or a dryer problem. My vote is governor sticking.

There was a whole thread on this recently where the purge valve was leaking, but it resulted in full pressure but cycling of the compressor in a narrow range. If you're not getting any pressure built up, I'd be more inclined to think governor, since I have experienced that very thing with the same symptoms. Tap the governor with the butt of a large screwdriver to see if it will free up.

got it to shut off
