Title: For People Looking Or Want a Upgrade in a Bus
Post by: luvrbus on September 27, 2012, 04:12:30 PM
I don't do this often so here goes I had a chance to buy this bus from Progressive but passed so it will be out for auction soon the auction outfit is Qcsa Direct (crashed toys)

A nice Eagle with fire damage which is not bad the roof will need a new sections replaced this unit has been upgraded with a 4 stroke Cummins I never looked at it so I don't know the model of the engine

It is located in Grantsville Pa to far for me and the hanger is full here if it wasn't for that I would have bought it in a beat lol

It will make someone a good bus and the mileage maybe right it was a Hanford Nuclear in Wa state the bays were never used on those Eagles they were welded closed, very low mileage on all their buses

1978 05 Eagle vin 19890 it is not a model 10 as the ad posted
Isuzu Diesel generator
auction # 941907
stock 621234

It will cost 25 bucks for you to register @ Qcsa Direct but don't waste the 25 bucks if you do not have a dealers license or know somebody that does  because they will not let you bid on some vehicles at their auctions

I have no idea what it will bring at the auction but I could have bought the bus for under 10 grand from Progressive plenty of photos of the bus on the Qcsa Direct site it would make a nice unit for not much in repairs JMO one of you guys buy the bus

The bus is drivable a little plastic and cleaning drive it into the sunset

I have no interest in the co or the bus just trying to help others with a budget looking for a deal

are we thinking that there is only 35000 miles on the chassis or the motor.....is that a oem speedo?
the bus is 62 digits older than mine so i'm thinking it might not be an upgrade lol

I think it has a M11 Cummins with a B400 transmission that is a upgrade over a 8v71 and a 740 the mileage won't be far off 35000 miles  may not be exact but they never used those buses the ones they turned loose in the 90's and 2000's were very low mileage I have friends that bought those they were like new fwiw all had less than 100,000 miles even the ones that were used day to day.

ABC Bus was selling those in the late 90's and early 2000's for a premium price fwiw

I never looked at the engine someone told me it had a M-11 and a World that knows the x owner it still would be a nice bus for somebody looking on a budget it won't take much to get going and it will probably sell for under 10 grand.

I tried to change the heading no luck there

I was trying to  give people a connection on where these buses can be bought at sometimes bargains but that won't happen again lol

good luck

Clifford:

Please keep posting topics like this one.  They are greatly appreciated as I try to figure out the complexities of the bus marketplace.
