There is the most unusual bus conversion I have ever seen for sale on EBay. It's a real Boeing 727 jet mounted on a Mercedes bus, to make a 'jet limo.' The text says it took 50 workers to build. They want $269,000 for it. No details about the engine or house (plane) systems. Looks like they are just trying to get people to rent the plane really, but it's still an interesting item. I'm pretty sure it's got to be some kind of gimmick.
That is a highly modified 727 since the 707, 727, 737, 757 all had the same diameter fuselage, that was around the 11ft size. So, it would have had to be reduced from around 132" down to 102". And to me it looks like that is what was done since the windows are normally 90 degrees to the ground compared to this one that has the windows slanting inward. Needless to say- a unique vehicle.
Personally-I would love to live in a retired 747 with it's over 5000 sq ft of floor space. Even without the wings, tail and engines, imagine trying to move that to a residential lot? Good Luck, TomC
Sure is novel. It would be fascinating to play with but it looks like it would be well over 65 feet in length (looks like close to 80' based on window count, but I could be wrong) all in a single piece. Even as a corporate promotional toy it seems like it would be too much hassle to get the special permits to move it and would require escort vehicles. Not to mention the limited places that it could be driven due to turning radius requirements and front/rear whip during turns.
It's no gimmick.

I like the idea of the Plane bus, but the huge wing mirrors and chopped-off tail spoil it rather. I think the same company's Train bus works better:
